Hello and welcome! My name is Denise Sherrill, the passionate miniature teddy bear artist behind Denise Sherrill Original Artist Teddy Bears. My bears are individually created through traditional and innovative techniques to enhance each creations beauty and uniqueness. Each bespoke teddy bear and accessories are finely detailed and it takes many hours to complete, regardless of size.



I am a self taught artist and has always been immersed in art such as painting, drawing , fiber arts, polymer and porcelain clay. My favorite subjects have always been animals, country themes, flowers, and of course, teddy bears! I also enjoy collecting small antique and vintage materials and items. From time to time, I may incorporate those themes and vintage accessories into my bear characters.
In 2011, I started creating and sewing teddy bears made of mohair which resonates deeply with my fiber and clay work. Inspired greatly by the clay art world and in awe of how the creation occurs, I have incorporated a cold clay medium into my bears details and accessories. My bears range from 2 1/4" to 5 inches and are made from only quality materials that can't be found in a local craft store.



My bespoke designs are original works from my own vision and from my own patterns. All fine details and accessories are made by hand and designed specifically for each bear character. I never use factory made molds, patterns, clay extruders, or cookie cutters for any of the bears accessories. I feel this makes my work unique and preserves the originality of my designs. In addition, my bears may wear clothing and possess treasures that are vintage and/or antique in nature. Due to the age of these items, they may have slight imperfections which adds a loveable charm to my bears.



I am very excited to be apart of the artistry world and more importantly, I am thankful for the all the blessings God has bestowed upon her, my amazing husbands love and support, and the wonderful clients and family who support my bear making journey.
